SUBSTANCE: column has vertical round- section apparatus inside of which punched grates are installed in tiers to make an acute angle with a horizontal plane in an alternative order to oppose each other. The holes of grates are made in the form of arch slits with their axes directed toward the slope of grates. The lower part of each grate carries a meshed segment whose cell is smaller than the size of nozzles for draining liquid down on the lower grate. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 dwg
