FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method of hydrogen producing involves vapor conversion of carbon oxide in the presence of oxide copper-zinc-manganese catalyst containing, wt. -% copper oxide 30-65; zinc oxide 18-31; manganese dioxide 0.1-2.7; carbon 0.08-0.8, and carrier on the basis of aluminium oxide the rest. Process is carried out at 190-400 C, under pressure up to 30 MPa. Method of catalyst preparing is proposed also. EFFECT: improved method of hydrogen production. 4 cl, 1 tbl
