FIELD: hydromelioration. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring the intensity of electromagnetic radiation reflected from a plot watered by a sprinkling machine and comparing it with the characteristics of the surface soil layer of said plot. Then a pseudo-image of the analyzed plot is formed in the selected waveband. The pseudo-image is broken into microsquares of an appropriate size and the value of average intensity of reflected electromagnetic radiation is marked in each square. The intensity may differ in color and shades. Irregularity of distribution of irrigation water on the fields is assessed visually. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
