FIELD: scrubbing of gases. SUBSTANCE: scrubber is made as a cylindrical casing with a tangential inlet pipe in its lower part, slime outlet pipe, support grating with a layer of packing, and sprinkling device above. The grating has the form of perforated conical surface with a sloping angle equal to angle of repose of packing, with a louvered water baffle underneath. The support grating has a provision for vertical movement. Disposed in the upper part of the casing is a packing loading batcher while its middle part has side openings for unloading the clogged packing. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
