FIELD: protection of atmospheric air from harmful effluents; applicable in any industry. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes separation of the flow of flue gases into isolated portions, each of which is successively compressed by increasing pressure with simultaneous spraying with liquid. Prior to spraying, spraying liquid is transformed in the state of superheated vapor and pressure in zone of reaction of gases with liquid is increased by 100-120 times relative to pressure corresponding to liquid boiling point. After spraying with liquid, clean flue gases are discharged to atmosphere, and slime is removed. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
