To enhance accuracy of making transversal grooves on building logs the machine is equipped with mechanism for fixating the position of mobile carriage containing housing mounted on the carriage, rod placed in housing, spring-loaded bell-crank interacting with rod and at least two fixing shoes with holes reciprocal to rod.
