FIELD: refrigeration engineering, air and helium systems. SUBSTANCE: single-and double- stage modifications of double-flow pulsating-pressure refrigerating machines have been developed on the basis of mechanical working gas pressure pulsation generator 1 (double-space rotor-type machine). Working spaces 2 and 12 of mechanical generator 1 connected, respectively, to pulsating tubes 4 and 13 are formed between central rotor 8 in the form of offset cylinder and two peripheral rotors 10 and 11 with their sectional area looking as curvilinear convex figure each of whose similar sections being described by set of two equations in parametric form. Regenerator of one of gas flows in double-stage modification (as distinct from single-stage machine) is built up of two parts with heat exchanger placed inbetween for gas flow loading to form double-flow regenerating heat-transfer apparatus. EFFECT: improved operating reliability, saved space, reduced temperature level for producing cold up to cryogenic stage. 3 cl, 5 dwg
