FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves grinding and milling of wastes; mixing with aqueous solution of calcium chloride in the ratio of 1: (5-6); adding ferrous chloride into pulp in an amount providing obtaining of 2.6-4.8% of FeCl2 in solution; heating to 220-240 C; holding for 2-3 hours while intensively mixing the solution; cooling to 80-100 C; separating from residue and precipitating manganese by milk of lime. Upon treatment with milk of lime, solution is mixed, precipitate is separated and annealed in oxidizing atmosphere at the temperature of 330-350 C. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of extracted product.
