FIELD: measuring devices. SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of current discharge from electric discharge unit and subsequent running of said current through device to be tested. Current discharge is generated by means of magnetic cumulative explosion. Then when current reaches maximum value, current discharge is amplified by electric explosion of conductors, then discharge is converted to abrupt increasing pulse of lightning current, which is fed through device to be tested. EFFECT: possibility to model lightning discharge without additional power supply in field. 1 dwg
