FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed to generate short-time high-intensity pressure pulses. Proposed invention comprises passing discharge-circuit current in conductor to be blasted. Current is generated in discharge circuit by connecting conductor to be blasted to two electric-discharge various-capacity various-inductance units operated with a relative lag equal to blast initiation time. Load current is varied by a certain law.
EFFECT: reduced duration of mechanical pulse without reducing load inductance.
