FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has flexible catheter with guide member brought through it, working member made in form of current conducting knife and knife control unit made in form of spiral wound on the guide member. The knife and spiral are manufactured from material possessing thermomechanical shape memory properties and electrically connected at their working ends and movably mounted on the guide member making electric circuit. The spiral and guide member are coated with thermal and electric insulation material. Working ends of the knife and spiral can be mounted on bushing movable along the guide member and make opposite branches of the electric circuit. The opposite end of the spiral is electrically connected to the guide member. Spiral cross-section area is 2-5 times as large as the knife cross-section area. Spring engageable with the bushing is additionally mounted on the distal end of the guide member. The knife and spiral are electrically connectable in series. The guide member is coated with electric insulation material and the catheter is manufactured from coaxial cable. EFFECT: excluded additional manual operations. 5 cl, 5 dwg
