FIELD: oil purification. SUBSTANCE: to mould catalyst carrier, cross-section of particles of which is made in the form of five-pointed star inscribed in circle with 2.5 - 3.5 mm diameter, plastic mass of carrier forerunner is extruded through made corrosion resistant steel die with spinneret, cross-section of which is made in the form of five-pointed star inscribed in circle with diameter of 2.5 - 3.5 mm. Forming surface is polished till roughness of 0.63 - 0.32 mm. It is preferable to use die with spinneret, beams cross-section of which are rounded by radius of 0.2 - 0.5 mm. After extrudates drying and calcining carrier is produced. Catalyst is produced by depositing on carrier of oxide, metal and /or oxide and /or sulfide of metal from VIII group of Periodical system of elements in amount of 1 - 8 mass %, oxide and /or sulfide of metal from VI group of Periodical system of elements in amount of 10 - 20 mass %.
