FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a carrier for a hydrotreating catalyst for hydrocarbon feedstock, said composition comprising, wt%: silicon dioxide SiO2, which is an amorphous phase and having a particle size of 3–20 nm – 2.0–20.0, aluminum borate Al3BO6 with norbergite structure – 5.0–25.0, γ-Al2O3 is the rest. Aluminum oxide borate Al3BO6 with norbergite structure, which is part of the carrier, is particles with size from 10 to 200 nm, characterized by interplanar distances of 3.2 and 2.8 Å, with an angle between them of 53.8°. Carrier has specific surface area of 240–270 m2/g, pore volume of 0.5–0.8 cm3/g, average pore diameter of 7–12 nm and is particles with cross-section in form of circle, trefoil or quatrefoil with diameter of described circumference 1.0–1.6 mm and length up to 20 mm.

EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of improved carrier for hydrotreating catalyst.
