FIELD: forestry and wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: sawing chain includes lateral connecting links 1 with guide sections 2 and middle connecting links 3. One of the pairs of lateral connecting links 1 located opposite to each other is connected on both sides of each link 3 by means of axes-rivets, for example. Part of links 1 have cutting teeth 5. One projection 6 or several such projections are made at least on one of lateral connecting links of chain. The projection is made towards external surface of link. Maximal height h of projection above internal surface of link in the zone of interaxial space limited by lines is less or equal to maximal excess H of rear edge 14 of any of cutting teeth above portion of internal surface of corresponding lateral connecting link in zone of interaxial space of this link. First 15 of edges of projection 6 is disposed near the end of portion 2 or its edge, and second 17 of edges of projection 6 is at least near next border of interaxial gap. Second edge of projection lies opposite the first one towards space. Projection 6 can be obtained by means of stamping the lateral connecting link in the form of stiffening rib towards surface. It is desirable to make second edge of projection 6 on link 1 with cutting tooth 5. Links having thickness S do not have external projections and links having thickness S1 are sure to have projection. Two linear notches can be made from the side of portion of projection 6 adjoining the second edge. The end of each notch is at a certain distance from further edge of link. Internotch space is pressed out towards internal surface on lateral connecting link 1 not having cutting tooth. Maximal height h1 of pressed out portion (extrusion) should not exceed half of gap 1 between surfaces of opposite lying links 1 entering the pair. When face ends of extrusion interact with surfaces for turn limiting made on links 3, relative turn of links 3 connected on link 1 with extrusion is stopped in the state in which supporting platforms of links 3 are parallel to lines of links 1 entering the pair. EFFECT: reduced mass of lateral connecting links of chain, enhanced technological effectiveness of rolled stock for their production, ensured stiffness to lateral connecting links at the level at least not lower than similar links of chain-prototype made of relatively thick material have. 15 cl, 37 dwg
