SUBSTANCE: invention is related to vitamin B12 and biogas production by methane fermentation of organic substrates: acetone-butyl, alcohol spent wash, starch-syrup production waste, sugar-beet production and cattle breeding production waste. Method involves the addition of stimulator of corrinoidogenesis and methanogenesis - mixed-ligand complex compound of zinc divalent with para-aminobenzoic acid and glycine at concentration 2•10-6-2•10-4 wt.-% (or 0.02-2.0 mg/l by zinc content) to organic substrates in the nutrient media composition subjected for methane fermentation by methane-forming microorganism consortium.
