FIELD: medicinal industry, antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: strain Streptomyces rimosus Sobin, Finlay and Kane RJA 2145 is obtained by selection method. Strain shows increased antibiotic activity, decreased requirement for oxygen and utilizes the production waste - mycelium of penicillin producer. At growing on organic liquid media strain produces up to 24 mcg oxytetracycline/ml. EFFECT: increased accumulation of oxytetracycline by producer.
