FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes grinding of starting material and its thermal treatment in presence of oxygen to form vapours of rhenium oxide and solid cinder. Waste of heat-resistant and high-temperature alloys including rhenium, wolfram and molybdenum in addition to nickel, cobalt, chrome, niobium, tantalum, aluminium, carbon is oxidized and rhenium is recovered out of it with high index 99.95-99.99 per cent by mass. Process is conducted with preliminary heating of oxygen supplied into chamber up to 1000-1100 C under pressure 1.1-1.3 atm. Roasting temperature is 1100-1250 C and duration is 2.0-2.5 h. EFFECT: enhanced output of recovered rhenium.
