Coating partially fills up holes in metal base of aperture mask. Hole diameter upon coating, initial hole diameter, coating thickness, aperture mask metal base thickness, roughness of coating, maximum thermomechanical bending of aperture mask, mask-to-screen distance, and distance from aperture mask effective zone boundary in tube plane of symmetry crossing screen diagonal to screen are interrelated within limits given in description of invention. method involves coating of mask preheated to 280-490 K by pneumatic spraying of solutions; conditions of coating evaporation and subsequent heat treatment are given in description of invention.
