FIELD: agriculture, production of bacterial fertilizer. SUBSTANCE: strain of bacterium Rhizobium fredii is obtained by method of recombinant DNA on the basis of recipient strain Rhizobium fredii BD 32. Strain of bacterium Rhizobium fredii B-1980 D shows the enhanced salt-resistance ( to 0.8 M) and increased proline synthesis (up to 64.6 nmole/mg protein). Yield of soybean plants inoculated with the strain B-1980 D is more than that of plants inoculated with the known strain BD 32 (by 8% by seeds and by 9% by air-dry biomass).
