Strain is prepared by transformation of antioncogenic plasmid R388 by conjugation into cells of isolated strain A. tumefaciens No. 759 showing antagonistic action against virulent agrobacterium of nopaline and octopine types. Proposed strain protects pea and grape plants by about 77-79% . Method involves isolation of oncogenic strain against virulent agrobacterium.
