FIELD: railway transport; electric locomotives supplied from DC contact system with provision of regenerative braking equipment. SUBSTANCE: electric locomotive has traction motors whose armature windings are connected to contact system and earthing unit, and field windings, to motor-generator. Introduced additionally into motor-generator control system are summing unit and correcting nonlinear functional converter. Device proves efficient at transient conditions when switching on regenerative braking equipment. EFFECT: quick response, high speed of starting of regenerative braking equipment. 3 dwg
