FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has switches, which are connected to excitation windings and between which diode is inserted. Two thyristor-pulse converters are inserted between armatures and excitation windings. This results in parallel and serial connection of armatures and excitation windings of traction motors. EFFECT: increased maximal possible initial speed of recuperative braking. 1 dwg
