FIELD: refractory structural materials and methods of their manufacture. SUBSTANCE: the initial temperature of synthesis is reduced down to 550 to 600 C, due to it, reduction of the maximum temperature of specimen heating up, execution of superhigh-speed processes in more quiet conditions are attained, which provides for reduction of loss of the material being synthesized. After the passage of the combustion wave the temperature is increased up to 900 to 1400 C and an additional annealing for 20 to 30 min is performed up to the maximum burn-up of sulfur. The charge contains the initial ingredients in the following relation, mass percent: aluminium - 18 to 20; silicon dioxide - 42 to 47; magnesium sulfate - 35 to 38. EFFECT: production of cordicrete with minimum content of sulfur by selection of conditions of the process at the respective quantity of ingredients. 1 tbl
