FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has power supply source, high frequency generator, radiators, temperature measurement and control unit with temperature-sensitive elements and high frequency power distribution device. Each radiator is manufactured as a group of electrodes having at least three needles, the high frequency power distribution device at least three coupling coils each connected to one needle electrode of the group with the first output and to the rest of needle electrodes of the group with the second output through variable resistance member. The method involves applying interstitial thermoradiotherapy through implanted electrodes. High molecular weight dextran is peritumorally administered in advance after administering anesthetic agents. Heated zone is conditionally anatomically divided into several sectors and electrode group having at least three needles is introduced into each of them. Temperature of 49 C in the vicinity of the needles is reached in less than 1 min, and the tumor is uniformly heated to 49 C by feeding each electrode group with high frequency power of the corresponding magnitude depending on sector conductivity.
