FIELD: earth-moving machinery; rotary excavators and other continuous-action earth-moving machines. SUBSTANCE: excavating part of rotary excavator has drive rotor installed in holder with upper and lower cheeks, rotor buckets with cutting perimeters and unloading ports with fitted in valves, ring unloading member in the form of ring rail with screw section in zone of unloading port, and catching conveyor. Lower cheek has unloading port. Ring rail installed on cheek engages with valves of each bucket. Horizontal portion of cutting perimeter is located below ring rail. Such design principle of transportation and unloading of buckets as rotor is located directly on face surface and is rotated with buckets relative to ring rail. Digging is carried out by all buckets simultaneously. Buckets transport soil along ring rail to unloading ports where automatic unloading of soil is provided by opening the valves which are closed afterwards when running onto screw section. Installation of rotor in holder creates two-support scheme of attachment of rotor axle, and makes is possible to secure rotor on boom by means of holder which, as a whole, enhances serviceability of construction. EFFECT: enhanced serviceability of rotor excavator owing to change in design scheme of rotor-to-boom attachment and change in principle of transportation and unloading of soil from buckets. 2 dwg
