FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has light source, cuvette for solution under control, photoelectric transformation unit and electric signal processing unit. The device measures values being functions of optic absorption of the control solution placed into the cuvette corresponding to two different wave lengths. Hemoglobin content is single- valued function of the value to be measured. When selected in the range of 540-590 nm, the wave length enables the influence of dissipating particles in the solution upon the measurement accuracy to be minimized.
