FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has light source 1, dish 2 for a specimen under control, photoelectric transducer 3, electric signal processing unit 4. The device measures a value, which depends on the value of optical absorption of the examined specimen, put into the dish, at two different wave length. The measured value uniquely determines the general bilirubin blood content in specimen.
