FIELD: protective materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of equimolar amounts of polyamine and dicarboxylic acid at 80-95 C in the presence of water taken at amount 20-50% of total polyamine and dicarboxylic acid amount followed by temperature increase to 160-180 C and water distillation off. Then pH of reactive mixture is brought about to 5-5.5 by acidification with hydrochloric acid solution and treatment of obtained oligoamide with chlorine-containing compound - epychlorohydrin or glycerol dichlorohydrin at mole ratio of oligoamide to chloro-containing compound from (1: 1.5) to (1-1.5), respectively. Resin is used for water-proof paper making, for cardboard article impregnation, etc. EFFECT: improved method of resin preparing. 1 tbl
