Then the first swage is rigidly wedged on the stem end, and the head is formed by upsetting under semi-constricted conditions. Then the second swage is put on the interim head, and countersunk head is formed by upsetting under semi-constricted conditions. with degree of constriction being less than that in forming interim head.
