FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical means of mechanization of technological process of producing rivet joints. In the package of connected parts a chamfer hole is formed, into which a rivet with an embedded head is installed. Rivet is pressed with a stop, the package is compressed and the closing head is formed. Shaping is carried out in conditions of semi-compacted precipitation by impact action on rivet by ultrasonic tool with shaped crimp on end. At that, spring-loaded support with controlled force of 20…1,000 N is used.

EFFECT: invention reduces time spent on the riveting process with simultaneous reduction of force required to form a rivet joint.
