FIELD: tailoring industry; methods applicable in production of thermally binding textile materials, for instance, for backing or reinforcing cloth which may be thermally welded. SUBSTANCE: thermally binding polymer is applied in spots onto the intermediate carrier which is partially adhesive. Then, spots are brought in contact with textile backing for subsequent transmission of polymer to it. The device for embodiment of the offered method has appliances for supply and heating of thermally binding polymer, photoengraving cylinder with deep engraving, scraper for gathering excessive adhesive mass from the surface of photoengraving cylinder and also antiadhesive intermediate carrier and cylinder for provision of direct contacting of flexible backing with slots of thermally binding material.
