FIELD: devices for magnetic recording. SUBSTANCE: device has cassettes with magnetic tape of two types and magnetic recorder which uses double-coil cassette with magnetic tape and has tape-feeding mechanism and mechanism for load of double-coil cassette. Cassette has sockets which separately engage one connecting member of mechanism for loading magnetic recorder in order to perform subsequent cassette load and removal. Device uses cassettes of two types having different standard recording methods and housing designs. Each type of double-coil cassettes has corresponding connecting member in loading mechanism for engagement with corresponding socket in cassette.
