METHOD FOR INJECTION COMPACTING CONCRETE AND REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES AND GROUTING MORTARS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

Abstract RU 2067643 C1

FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: injection into structure depth is carried out by a group of point-like injectors. The injectors are secured in earlier drilled wells of the structure and are interconnected through hydraulic coupling within structure part being compacted. There are three successive stage of the injection with time delay between the stages equal to time of mortar solidification. Grouting mortar of similar composition but different water-to-cement ration is used at the first and second stages. The mortar has Portland cement, micro-silica, quartz sand of less than 0.140 mm size and (0.140 - 0.315) mm size, and such complex mineral addition as the product of co-milling of aluminate cement of "500" grade with 12 - 15 per cent three-calcium aluminate of cement weight, calcium sulphate-aluminate and quartz sand of not higher than 0.140 mm size in relation 1:1:1. Grouting mortar of the following composition is used at the final stage of the injection: Portland cement, quartz sand of less than 0.140 mm size, micro-silica with specific surface (25 - 35)x10 square centimeter per gram, milled quartz sand of (3.5 - 4.5)x10 square centimeter per gram specific surface, and complex mineral addition. The method is implemented for each stage of injection. Injectors are withdrawn from the well on completion the final stage, and the wells are plugged with concrete mortar of the following composition (per cent by weight): 35.5 - 40.5 "500" grade Portland cement, 1.5 - 3.5 micro-silica, 7.5 - 9.5 ground quartz sand, 43.5 - 54.0 quartz sand of (0.140 - 0.315) mm size, 4.5 - 5.5 complex mineral addition, the balance being water. Then all compacting stages are carried out for subsequent group of injectors. EFFECT: effective cementing. 4 cl
