FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining blood myoglobin contents in surgical patient before operation and the first 4-5 days. Its level being higher than 1024 ng/ml, postoperative complications are diagnosed to take place during nearest 2 days based on 2-3 days examination results. Blood myoglobin level being higher than 1024 ng/ml, progressive development with unfavorable outcome is predicted. Blood myoglobin level being lower in comparison with previous examination results, favorable course of events and outcome of postoperative complications and postoperative period is predicted. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of prediction results.
