FIELD: metallurgy, building and mechanical engineering, method is used for electrolytic clearing of metals surface, mainly welding wire. SUBSTANCE: method of electrolytic-discharge clearing of lengthened pieces provides for cathode treatment in electrolyte - water solution of sodium chloride or carbonate in closed capacity and with current density of 200 - 1000 A/dm2 and voltage of 90 - 190 V. In process of treatment electrolyte with concentration of 10 - 30 % is used and electrolyte pressure inside capacity is maintained at 1.1 - 1.5 atm level. Technical result is increased productivity and improved quality of wire clearance with simultaneous decrease of power consumption. EFFECT: increased productivity and quality of wire clearance, decreased power consumption. 3 cl, 1 dwg
