FIELD: petroleum processing, chemical, petrochemical industries. SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying crude petroleum to rectification column; discharging petroleum residues from bottom; heating residues in furnaces and introducing into reaction chamber and further into high-pressure evaporator; introducing vapors from evaporator top below crude petroleum inlet of column, where direct and circulation spray is supplied, with gas, petrol, gasol being produced and a portion of gasol circulating in high-pressure evaporator upon cooling. High-pressure evaporator residue is heated in furnace and supplied into thermal polycondensation reactor. Vapors are returned from reactor top part into column and petroleum pitch is discharged from reactor bottom part. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of residue and petroleum pitch. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
