FIELD: petrochemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: products are fed into rectification column operating under supplying live and recycling reflux. Bottom of column is fed with steam. Resultant products are flash distillate and residue. Residue is heated in furnace and fed into reactor to which steam is fed at the bottom. Vapors from the top of reactor are returned to column, from which, as a side stream, thermal gas oil is discharged and from the bottom of column pitch is removed. EFFECT: achieved effective utilization of heavy cracking products. 3 tbl
