FIELD: production of fuel briquettes from combustible components such as coal powder, coal slurry, saw dust, ground bark. SUBSTANCE: fuel briquette has mixture of ground solid fuel with binding solution i.e. sulfonic acid derivative such as sodium salt of methylenenaphtalene sulfonic acid or lignosulfonate with moisture content exceeding 9% by weight. Mixture is enclosed in combustible capsule, with volume of hardened mixture being equal to inner volume of capsule. Method involves mixing ground fuel with solution of water-soluble organic binder; metering and packaging mixture with moisture content exceeding 9% by weight into closed hot capsule; hardening briquettes during storage, transportation or heating as well as during combustion in combustion chamber or coking in coking battery. Sulfonic acid derivative such as sodium salt of methylenenaphtalene sulfonic acid or lignosulfonate in the form of 30-40% aqueous solution is used as binder.
