FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to production of fuel briquettes from fine-grain carbon-bearing materials. Fuel briquette is made up of moulded mixture of ground carbon-bearing fuel and binder, shell of cylindrical shape which is formed by paper tape spiralled at angle of 30-60 deg. to axis of briquette with overlapping of paper tape over its preceding layer. Ends are made by bending edges of paper shell inside from outer surface of briquette or gluing composition is applied to ends of briquette. Device for production of fuel briquettes has following units which are successively installed and interconnected by conveyers: bin with primary solid fuel, crusher, mixer with bin for proportioned delivery of solid fuel and unit for preparation and delivery of binder, unit for formation of briquettes from mixture of ground fuel and binder with receiving bin, drier and cooler, conveyer for delivery of mixture of ground fuel and binder with dividers installed at angle to conveyer axis above receiving bins of briquette forming units or auger in cylindrical housing having holes with guide pipe unions for delivering mixture to receiving bins. It can take the form of vessels movable along guide members with discharge facilities above receiving bins. Briquette forming unit has successively installed auger with guide pipe located below receiving bin, units for spiralling shell over guide pipe and for delivery of mixture outflowing from guide pipe into shell, for cutting formed mass in shell and dressing of briquette ends. Drier and cooler are provided with means for delivery and removal of heat-carrier. EFFECT: high efficiency. 6 cl, 6 dwg
