FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: tested object is subjected to impact load by acceleration of piston with object in barrel of acceleration gear with compressed gas supplied into barrel through gas-injection system. Coefficient of flow rate of gas-injection system is determined for calculation of conditions of reconstruction of parameters of impact load. For determination of this coefficient piston is accelerated without object, pressure upstream and downstream of gas-injection system is measured, maximum piston velocity and time of its achievement are determined. Description of invention gives relation for determination of coefficient of flow rate which includes mentioned measured parameters and initial volume between outlet of gas-injection system and piston, movement of piston with acceleration up to maximum speed, area of cross-section of piston, area of flow section of gas-injection system and parameters of working gas. High precision of reconstruction of parameters of impact load is provided thanks to exclusion of uncertainty in selection of coefficient of flow rate of gas- injection system.
