FIELD: physics. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for conversion of natural nonpolarized light into linear or circularly polarized one. Source of circularly polarized radiation has source of nonpolarized radiation, one or several layers of cholesteric liquid crystal and mirror. Layer of liquid crystal and mirror are manufactured concave and spherical and are placed concentrically on source of radiation. Layer of liquid crystal may be produced flat or be provided with lens which focus is aligned with center of curvature of mirror and center of source of circularly polarized radiation, element modulating polarized radiation and analyzer.
