FIELD: optical instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and relates to an optical multi-pass imaging device. Device comprises an aperture diaphragm and a unit of optical elements. Optical elements unit comprises a front surface facing an object on which an aperture diaphragm is located, a rear surface facing the image plane, a lens element, a polarizer based on a wire mesh, a quarter-wave plate and a layer of cholesteric liquid crystals. Polarizer is located before or directly on the front surface, and the layer of cholesteric liquid crystals is located behind or directly on the rear surface. Quarter-wave plate is placed between the polarizer and the layer of cholesteric liquid crystals. Elements of the device are arranged so as to provide multiple passage of radiation from the side of the object to the image plane.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the length of the optical device.
