FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: invention may find use in finishing-strengthening treatment of nonrigid parts of machines. Tool for finishing-strengthening treatment includes rotor, wear-resistant cheeks forming annular chamber, deforming members, sources of magnetic field anchored on rotor. Tool is fitted with protective ring screen. Screen is positioned between annular chamber and source of magnetic field. Wall of screen has windows separated from each other by partitions. Windows are arranged above source of magnetic field. Size of partitions is not less than diameter of deforming members. During treatment deforming members are demagnetized periodically and foreign metal particles are easily washed away and removed from treatment zone under action of lubricating-cooling fluid fed into treatment zone. EFFECT: increased quality of treatment due to prevention of implantation of foreign particles into treated surface, enhanced resistance of tool due to diminished wear out of cheeks and deforming members. 2 dwg
