FIELD: mining; development of gently sloping seams with formation of inclined workings driven to the semi dip in protecting (artificial) pillars from filling materials. SUBSTANCE: method for development of coal seams includes successive driving in extraction district, at least, upcast and belt inclines with formation of protecting pillars on both sides of inclines and making connections between them. Protecting pillars are made in form of rock packs for which purpose driven in prepared extraction district, parallel to side wall of upcast or belt incline made in overlying extraction district, is inclined opening in form of stope, and in the course of driving the stope, previously driven stope parallel to the side wall of upcast or belt incline is filled with rock. Then, driven between rock packs and nonmined coal mass and in the interval between driven upcast and belt inclines, parallel to the side walls are additional stopes with their subsequent filling. Belt and upcast inclines are driven in the developed underlying extraction district. In this case, coal pillars are formed additionally between extraction district in which belt and air gates are driven to mine the indicated districts. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 10 dwg
