FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with method thickness of each individual element between deviated measuring part and bearing part is measured. Bearing part in clocked movement is entering under flow of articles for each measurement. Bearing part is manufactured in the form of impeller. Its wings with rotation relative to its axis enter with bearing surfaces between articles lying of surface of flow. Deviated measuring part is fabricated in the form of roller-feeler which is pressed into controlled zero position by force of spring. Deviation of roller-feeler is measured and is interrogated by clock periods. Clock period of movement of bearing part and clock period of interrogation of measured value are synchronized and tuned to speed of movement of flow and to distance between elements on flow. EFFECT: simplified design of device measuring thickness of individual printed articles. 8 cl, 4 dwg
