FIELD: gas chromatography. SUBSTANCE: method is meant for determination of qualitative composition of multicomponent mixtures of organic compounds. Method includes passing of identified substance through system of column filled with sorbent of different polarity connected in series, taking of sample after each column, generation of holding spectrum on first nondestructive detector, transfer of sample to second detector of another type, calculation of sensitivity factor and relative holding by data of two detectors and identification of substance by produced values. Samples from first detector are transferred in sequence to second detector which input is connected to output of first detector and holding spectrum is read on second detector. Sensitivity factor is chosen as averaged value of ratio of areas of corresponding peaks of two holding spectra. EFFECT: increased efficiency of method. 1 tbl
