METHOD FOR STABILIZING OF POLYMER COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: production of synthetic rubber. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by adding stabilizing agent into solution of unsaturated elastomer. Said stabilizing agent represents compound on the base of phenol amine resin which is prepared by condensation of alkyl phenol with hexamethylenetetramine and with N-isopropyl-N′-phenyl-p-phenylene diamine. Molecular weight of said resin is 500-800, its melting point is 60-75 C, content of bound N-isopropyl-N′-phenyl-p-phenylene diamine in it being 10-35 mass %. Mentioned above stabilizing agent is used as solution in aliphatic or in aromatic hydrocarbon, its quantity being 0.1-1.5 mass % of mass of polymer composition. Proposed stabilizing agent is effective against thermal oxidizing destruction. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 3 tbl
