FIELD: mining; applicable in support of mine workings with frame support. SUBSTANCE: after extraction of rocks in entry face within the limits of design contour to a depth of larger than spacing of support frame installation, hollow with heel is made in working roof. Hollows are formed in working roof with space equalling that of support frames, and hollow shape correspond to the shape of capping of support frame. The depth of hollow is taken equal to the value of not less than the sum of heights of profile of capping and thickness of interframe guard. Hollow with heel is formed at the level of end faces of capping of support frame. With hollow formed, capping with interframe guard is introduced into hollow and they are pressed to hollow bottom. Then, working sides are supported by props which are installed without hollows so that yielding units are located above hollow heels. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 4 dwg
