FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine comprises housing 1 with a ring space separated into compression and working parts by rotor 2. Pistons 5 are mounted on both sides of rotor 2 with a phase shift. Compression and working parts of housing 1 are provided with spring-loaded cross-like baffles 6 to permit rotation and define closed spaces. In rotation of rotor 2 when one of pistons 5 is in front of inlet valve 8 it is opened and combustion mixture enters. With further rotation of rotor 2 the mixture is compressed and is displaced to the working chamber through slide valve 4 and passageway 3. The mixture is ignited in the working chamber. The gases obtained, being expanded, press on the chamber walls and piston 5 of rotor 2. As a result the rotor is set in rotation. On passing piston 5 through passage 9, combustion products are removed. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 7 dwg
