FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves marking the lifetime photo of the person under search and the cranium to be identified with diagnostic characteristics determined in superimposing the anatomic constant points, selecting among them three reference constants maximum distant from each other in face horizontal plane, building three-dimensional mathematical model of anatomic constant points of the cranium, forming positive image of head photo on the screen with reference points labeled. The three-dimensional mathematical model projection is only selected and projected over the so formed image of the head photo that gives coincidence of three reference constants of the head photo and three-dimensional mathematical model. Then correspondence and coincidence of the rest of anatomic constants of the head photo image and three-dimensional mathematical model is checked and the found three-dimensional mathematical model projection is fixed and cranium image with marked reference points is projected over it changing the spatial orientation with respect to its three axes to reach coincidence of three reference constants of the three-dimensional mathematical model and dead body cranium. In this way camera angle of the cranium identical to that of the head photo is determined. Then the head photo and dead body cranium position is produced and expert assessment of the coincidence is performed and conclusions are drawn concerning the dead body cranium belonging to the person under search. Method is carried out by means of automated program complex TADDSM. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of method.
